ABSTRACT
Enrollment to Higher Education Institutes is expected to rise to 1.6 million in 2023. With this figure, managing a class, especially the project-type class will be challenging. Current practice through manual or online forms is time-consuming and repetitive. For instance, handling 500 students can lead to more than 1000 marks to be keyed in from printed evaluation forms into the computer. Even with the online Google Forms, there are still a lot of data to be sorted and processed for grades and end-of-course report. These inefficient processes could be risking the marks-entry error, evaluation integrity, and inaccurate reporting. Thus, an Integrated Course Online Data Entry System or iCODES has been developed to eliminate the manual process in managing courses, which automates processes like marks processing, report preparation, students grouping, and monitoring. With iCODES, more than 80% of the processing time can be saved.
BACKGROUND
Managing class/project effectively is crucial especially when it comes to hundreds of students from multiple classes and disciplines. Below are the four problems in managing a class/project: 1. Tedious manual form system that is prone to key-in error and time-consuming. 2. Outsource end-of-course report generator with no control over the setting. This could lead to an inaccurate report, risking the audit results. Manual preparation of the report is also repetitive where similar data needs to be processed at several systems or documentations. 3. Complicated multi-disciplinary students grouping that requires sorting for several programs from several divisions. 4. Ineffective monitoring of the evaluation progress, where checking on each lecturer is almost impossible.

With hundreds of students in a faculty, managing the classes like marks processing and end-of-course reports preparation is challenging.
APPROACH
iCODES will be marketed through online subscription of integrated spreadsheets system.
The system includes auto grade computation, auto report generation system integrated with the marks entry spreadsheet, quick selection system of multi-disciplinary students grouping, and a live dashboard monitoring.
Within three years, the estimated cost is RM 193,000 with 40% Return on investment.

POTENTIAL MARKET
The key partners are the program coordinators, in-house and external software developer, and investor.
The potential customer are lecturers, course coordinators and competition organizers.
